Honduras

Experience a life-changing mission trip to Honduras with It Is Written! The Honduras Union Mission and the Bay Islands Conference have invited us to conduct evangelistic meetings and a medical clinic in their territory.

Every person who attends the trip will find an area to serve no matter your age or skill set. There are many people who need Jesus in this region, and your service there will make an impact for eternity!

There are four components to this trip:

1) Evangelistic meetings at five sites, presented by select volunteer mission participants.

2) Light construction projects. These projects will have activities that any person can participate in.

3) There will be medical clinics almost every day. Any medical profession or skill will be utilized on the trip. Physicians, dentists, physical therapists, nurses, technicians, and any other medical profession are needed. Non-medical support team members are also needed to assist in the clinic in various capacities.

4) Children's programming. Those who are passionate for children's ministries will have an opportunity to minister in the nightly VBS program while adults attend evangelistic meetings

Honduras Information
Country Overview1. Located about 35 miles off the northern coast of Honduras is the small island of Roatán. Roatán is only 40 miles long and three miles wide, but it is bursting with culture, history, and pristine beaches.2. Roatán is the largest and most developed of the Bay Islands. Roatán contains stunning natural beauty, including the mountainous inner region and miles of sandy white beaches on its shores.3. Roatán is home to the second-largest coral reef in the world, the Mesoamerican Reef, which stretches 700 miles from the Yucatan Peninsula to the Bay Islands. This reef is perfect for snorkelers and divers to explore an underwater garden.4. By the 17th century, more than 5,000 pirates lived on the island of Roatán.
